Conference Basics Minimize

The conference will be held at the Westin Chicago River North Hotel located in the heart of downtown Chicago. It spans three days (Thursday through Saturday) featuring16 respected and highly knowledgeable speakers presenting their thoughts on a number of timely issues. But that's not all. The event concludes with a Grand Closing Gala at the Chicago Art Institute on Saturday evening.

We're going the extra mile to ensure our delegates are comfortable and productive during their stay. We've reserved the hotel's largest ballroom so there'll be plenty of room to spread out. Feel free to bring your laptops, extra batteries, and whatever else you need. Two giant screens will project the presentations so no matter where you are in the room, you won't miss a thing.

Two coffee breaks are scheduled each day, one mid-morning and the other mid-afternoon. Lunch runs about an hour or so each day, starting somewhere between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. depending on the daily schedule. The lunch ballroom offers spectacular views of the nearby Chicago River. It's so close you can almost reach out and touch it.

About Chicago Minimize

October is a great time to visit Chicago. With a daytime average of 64°F/17°C, temperatures are just beginning their descent.

There’ll be a chill in the air and the trees will be ablaze in the fiery colors of autumn. But city streets won't be crowded and waits will be practically non-existent at the popular tourist destinations.

That means you’ll be able to take your time taking in all the wonderful sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of this major urban playground!

Chicago is known as the:

  • Home of the Great Chicago Fire.
  • Site of the tallest structure in the U.S.
  • Blues capital of the world.

Chicago’s come a long way since its early days as a frontier outpost.

American Indian tribes were the first to settle here followed by European adventurers eager to explore the trade and travel routes crisscrossing the region. The U.S. Government came later, building a military outpost in 1804 to oversee expansion of its newly acquired territory.

Chicago was incorporated as a town in 1833 and became a city just four years later in 1837. It had a population of 4,100 that continued to grow thanks to the railroad. The population reached 300,000 by 1870. (read more about chicago)
